David Schillo is highly aware of the effect that regular physical activity greatly helps overall health, especially heart health. Schillo’s father passed away from a sudden heart attack, and David, carrying those same genes and a likelihood that he will suffer from heart disease later in life, devoted himself to leading a healthy lifestyle. He spreads this passion for physical activity and healthy foods into his professional and personal life. In addition to training for a half marathon for the American Heart Association, David Schillo also strives to cook healthy foods for himself, his friends, and his family.
For David Schillo, the key to cooking healthy is trying to avoid excessive saturated fats, sugar, sodium, and preservatives. Using whole grains, lean meats, and plenty of fiber and vitamins from natural sources like vegetables and fruits, Schillo devises menus that build better heart health over time and taste great.
David Schillo loves to cook healthy foods and teach his students and everyone who will listen about heart-healthy meals.
